Congratulations on your purchasing this multimedia keyboard. With seven buttons featured for Internet, this keyboard is the best helper when you surf on the web by using Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 (or later version).
This driver is designed specially for Windows 98 only.
When this driver is installed in your system, you may enjoy the extra feature which is not available for Windows 2000 and Windows ME. The feature is, the seven Internet buttons are reprogrammable so can be defined as a string which will save your input text time, as a combination key which becomes your most powerful hot key, as a web site which brings you to your favorite web site directly, as a execution file which launch the application most often used by just one touch. More advantages are waiting for you to explore. Now just install the driver!
In order for the USB multimedia keyboard to function properly, first install the USB drivers and then install the KeyMaestro multimedia driver.
Note: If all of the buttons on the keyboard work except the Multimedai buttons, the keyboard is recognized by the system and you only need to install the multimedia driver.
The USB device driver is included in Windows system.
When the first time you plug in the USB keyboard, the system will automatically detect a new hardware connected and bring up the Add New Hardware Wizard. Follow the Wizard's USB driver installation steps. Once this step is completed the basic functions of the keyboard will work under the operating system.
Before installing the KeyMaestro Multimedia Keyboard Driver, you have to make sure that the USB device driver has been installed and the USB keyboard is recognized by Windows operating system. You may toggle the NumLock or CapsLock key to see if the LED is lit correspondently, and thus to know the keyboard works well.

Sleep | puts your system to sleep (power-saving) mode. This function is processed and performed by Windows, not KeyMaestro driver at default. But the Sleep button is performed none under Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0 because Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0 don't recognize this key. The KeyMaestro driver provides an option to enable the ACPI key. The ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface) key is the Sleep key in this model. When the option is enabled, the driver will take Windows' place to process this key. Thus the Sleep will work no matter what Windows you use. To enable the option, click the KeyMaestro icon on the taskbar and select ACPI Key Enabled command. Please refer to the section ACPI Key Enabled for more. P.S. Windows NT 4.0 does not support Sleep function. This key will be processed as Power Off by KeyMaestro driver if the option is enabled. |
