Choosing a Reference Style

Reference Tracker includes a set of the most popular reference format styles, and you have access to additional styles created and shared by other Reference Tracker users.

To choose which style you wish to use for your formatted reference lists, you can select from the 'Default Reference Style' popup menu in the 'Reference List' section in the Preferences window (for more info see Preferences and Customization)

You can also choose your preferred style from the 'Manage Styles' window, which you can open by selecting 'Manage Styles...' from the 'Reference Tracker' menu. Select the style you want to use form the list on the left and click on the 'Make Default Style' icon in the window toolbar. Styles with the Reference Tracker icon next to them are the built in styles created by Malkinware. Styles with a cloud icon are styles that have been created and shared by other Reference Tracker users. Styles with a person icon are those that you have created yourself (for more info see Creating a Custom Reference Style)
