System Requirements

1. HTTP Server (eg. http://your.website.com)
2. PHP Support
3. MySQL Support


Installation instructions for PublicPIM.

1. Unzip all the files into a directory. (eg. MyPublicPIM)

2. Upload MyPublicPIM on to your server

3. VERY IMPORTANT
After you have done the installation you need to insure the permissions for the following files and folders are as follows:


- chmod 777 configuration.php file in php folder
- chmod 777 vCardtemp.vcf file in php folder
- chmod 777 vcards folder


4. Access for the first time your version of PublicPIM at http://your.website.com/MyPublicPIM. You should now see this screen:



5. Fill in the form:

Hostname - Your MySQL Hostname (usually localhost)
Database - Your MySQL Database Name (this should be provided by your hosting administrator)
Username - MySQL Username
Password - MySQL Password

Drop existing tables - If you have a previous PublicPIM installation on the same database you can keep the existing tables or you can drop them by checking this.

Site Name - Your website's name (eg. My Website)
Site Address - Your website's address (eg. your.website.com)

Live Site - The exact location of your PublicPIM directory http://your.website.com/MyPublicPIM)

Admin Email - The website administrator's email (eg. admin@website.com)

Google Key - This is the Google API Key that is used to display the maps for the addresses in the application. You can get it here like this:



- Enter your Live Site into the "My web site URL:" field
- Check "I have read and agree with the terms and conditions"
- Click Generate API Key



- Login with username: publicpim@gmail.com, password: public
