Network Stat
This widget shows you information about your network interfaces and their current setup. Data should be self-explanatory for the most part, the basics:
- Click any link on the frontside to copy the clicked information to the clipboard
- Click the house icon to switch the network location
- Click any interface icon to toggle more information
WAN IP check
The widget checks your WAN IP by asking the server www.whatismyip.org.
Refreshing
Set your preferred refresh interval in the preferences. You can force a refresh at any time by clicking the refresh-arrow top right. Click the timer on top of the widget to see the date and time of the last refresh. Click it again to return to the countdown.
Ping
Enter an IP to ping after checking your WAN IP. Default IP is 4.2.2.2 which represents a popular DNS server.
You can ping your gateway either by entering its IP here or much simpler by clicking the "ping"-button under the respective interface information.
Mail
You can provide one or multiple email addresses where the widget will send an email to notify the new WAN IP. For this feature to work you need to setup at least one account in Mail.app. To confirm this feature to work press the "send testmail to first address" button which does exactly what you think it does.
