Installation

Download the MassPlus 7.0 free version mpwin7x.zip from CSUI’s website

Unzip and extract the files contained in the zip file

Run setup.exe. This will install MassPlus v7.0 on your PC.

Use the default installation folder for the software.

For 32-bit systems:  C:\Program Files\CAD Systems Unlimited\MassPlus v7.0

For 64-bit systems: C:\Program Files (x86)\CAD Systems Unlimited\MassPlus v7.0

After installation, you can run  MassPlus from the Windows Start menu

If you have already purchased a license, you may enter it by clicking on the top level  menu, License - Install License.

Installing a License will automatically convert MassPlus v7.0 free version to licensed version.  No need to reinstall.  Just restart the software.

Using MassPlus with your AutoCAD software

If you have AutoCAD, IntelliCAD, or any AutoCAD compatible software with autolisp support, you can run MassPlus v7.0 via autolisp.  The lisp program will look for MassPlus in the default folders specified above.

Copy the corresponding lisp and script files contained in mpwin6.zip to the AutoCAD executable folder or to a folder in the AutoCAD support files search path.

For 32-bit Windows systems, copy  mpwin.lsp and mpwin.scr to this folder.

For 64-bit Windows systems, copy files mpwin-x86.lsp and mpwin-x86.scr to this folder.

In AutoCAD, you will run the script file at command level to load the lisp program.

If you install MassPlus in a different folder, you will still be able to use it as a stand alone program but you will NOT be able to use it with AutoCAD.   This is because the lisp programs will not be able to locate the MassPlus software.

The lisp routines will allow you to select entities in your drawing for analysis by MassPlus.  For more information, go to the Quick Start topic under the Running MassPlus heading of the Help file.
