Chapters
Creating a new chapter
Type a chapter title into your text at the place where the chapter will start
Chapter titles must be unique so don't use the name of a character. Using Chapter 1, chapter 2 etc as a prefix is a safe bet
Highlight the text you want as the title
Manuscript will ask you to confirm the selection
Once confirmed, the new chapter contains all text between its title and the next title. The chapter title will be underlined.
Using Chapters View
Press Toggle View to change between manuscript view, a view of the entire manuscript, and a view displaying only one chapter. When Manuscript launches the view is always manuscript.
Manuscript View
To scroll between the start of different chapters use the red arrow buttons.
To delete a chapter simply remove its title text and the chapter will no longer be recognised; its text will revert to the previous chapter.
Chapters View
The chapter that contained the displayed text when the Toggle View button was pressed becomes the current chapter and is displayed in the main view. A window appears containing all chapter titles.
To change to a different chapter
either use the red arrow buttons or select a chapter in the chapters window
