The Format View
Pressing the Format Copy button creates a copy of the main text in a new window so that you can format it without altering the main text; this is intended for printing.
Formatting
If Manuscript view is in use page-breaks are automatically inserted before each new chapter. Any highlighting is removed.
The standard Mac formatting commands are available as well as the following tools:
Standard sets the whole document to single - spaced, justified, 10 point size with a 0.85 cm margin.
Publisher sets the whole document to double - spaced, justified, 10 point size with a 2.54 cm (1 inch) margin.
Publisher US sets the whole document to double - spaced, left-aligned, Courier font in10 point size with a 1 inch margin. It also removes the footer and replaces it with a header half an inch from the top of the page.
PB button inserts a page-break.
Ch+/- buttons scroll to next/previous chapters.
The Footer/Header
This contains the following:
the page number according to the printer set-up
the published page equivolent page number
the copyright symbol
your pen name
The last three items can be omitted by checking the Short footer box before selecting one of the three formatting options.
