If you already know what messages the buttons on your MIDI controller transmits, you can enter them by hand. Also, you are a MIDI nerd.

If you don’t know what MIDI messages your MIDI controller transmits (no shame, who does?), configure GarageRemote by teaching it.

  1. Make sure GarageRemote’s switch is in the “On” position. Image Alt

  2. In the GarageRemote preference pane, double-click the function you wish to edit. Image Alt

  3. Type in the MIDI message corresponding to the function you are editing.

  4. Hit the return key on your Mac to confirm your edit.

  5. Repeat for the remaining functions.

You are now ready to rock. Or whatever.

Note: If your MIDI controller has a “Stop” button, read this.
